As more responsibility shifts onto artists in today’s music industry, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed trying to keep up, and even harder to know what actually matters.
At Artist Growth Lab, I work as both a strategic partner and someone in your corner, helping you navigate the creative content, music releases, and business sides of your music so you’re not trying to figure it all out on your own.
You just make the music. I’ll help you handle everything around it!
Hi, I’m Suzy Oliveira, known in some circles as Suzy O.
I started Artist Growth Lab because I’ve been on both sides of this journey. Creating content as a music video director, producer, and photographer, leading projects from concept through release, working with both solo artists and large ensembles, and helping build content that has reached millions across digital platforms. I’ve also been on the release side, navigating distribution, strategy, and trying to figure out what actually works and what doesn’t.
The truth is, no one can guarantee results anymore. Algorithms change. Trends shift. What works one week doesn’t always work the next.
But there are patterns. There are ways to approach content, releases, and structure so your work has a real chance of showing up, connecting, and growing.
Over the past decade, I’ve helped both solo artists and large ensembles of 200+ performers create high-quality content along with the consistent in-between content that keeps them in the feed.
Not just one big moment, but ongoing visibility.
I’m here to help you make informed decisions so your time, your content, and your releases actually move you forward. If you’re tired of guessing and want a clearer path forward, let’s map out your next move.
You’ve got a song coming out… now what?
We’ll map out your timing, content, and rollout so everything works together instead of feeling scattered.
Not sure what’s working?
I’ll look at your content, your releases, and your strategy—and tell you what’s helping you grow and what’s holding you back.
If your content feels inconsistent or unclear, this is where we fix it.
We’ll align your visuals, your messaging, and your content so it actually connects.
Most artists skip this part—and it matters.
I’ll help you make sure your music is structured correctly so you’re not missing revenue or ownership opportunities.
Need content ideas that actually work?
You’ll walk away with 5–10 short-form ideas tailored to your music and audience.
If you’re needing a music video but don’t have a clear vision yet, we’ll build one that will match the scope and feel of your single!
Story, direction, and concept—all mapped out with a project estimate.
Here’s a look at a few of the projects I’ve directed and produced—from concept to release, across 100+ music video and content projects, including several that have reached viral audiences.
I spent several years working with One Voice Children’s Choir, where I led the creative direction on a number of large-scale video projects as both director and producer, several of which reached viral audiences across digital platforms.
During that time, I was also involved on the business side—overseeing the distribution of the choir’s music and helping grow their YouTube presence to its first one million subscribers.
I was a co-founder of Rise Up Children’s Choir, where I helped build the organization from the ground up—working across both the creative and business sides.
I lead early creative content and established its digital presence, with several projects reaching viral audiences before moving on to help solo artists with other projects.
And then there's Reese—this is really how all of this started. Yep, she’s my daughter. What started as supporting her music turned into a creative partnership—she brings the audio, I bring the visual—and together we’ve built projects that have generated over 100 million views and millions of streams, shaping both of our paths in the industry.
I’ve also worked with a range of artists and creators across different styles and stages—supporting projects from early concept through final release, and helping shape the creative, content, and strategy behind the work.
Several years ago, I was sitting at my five-year-old daughter’s first soccer game, watching what can only be described as complete chaos—kids swarming the ball, arms and legs everywhere. I kept scanning the field, trying to find her, worried she was stuck in the middle of it all.
Then I spotted her.
She was off to the side, completely removed from the game, holding a dandelion and singing into it like it was a microphone.
In that moment, I realized two things: first, she was definitely not going to be a soccer player, and second, it was time to take her love of singing seriously.
With a background in finance, I did what I tend to do. I started figuring it out, researching, testing things, and looking for real opportunities to help her grow. That process pulled me into the music world and eventually into building a career of my own.
Over time, what started as trying to support my daughter turned into leading creative direction and release strategy for music projects that have reached millions across digital platforms.
Over the past decade, I’ve directed and produced more than 100 music video and digital content projects, contributing to more than 360 million views. I’ve also built and managed multiple YouTube channels with a combined audience of more than 1.5 million subscribers, developing content strategies that drive both visibility and sustained growth.
My work spans both emerging artists and large-scale productions, including projects involving more than 200 performers. My background also includes over a decade of production photography in professional theater environments, which has shaped my understanding of staging, lighting, and visual storytelling at scale. I’ve led projects from concept through release, making key decisions across creative direction, content strategy, distribution, and rollout execution.
I served on the board of directors for One Voice Children’s Choir, where I led the creative direction of several large-scale video productions and played a key role in growing the choir’s digital presence, including leading the YouTube channel to its first one million subscribers. I was also a co-founder of Rise Up Children’s Choir, helping build the organization from the ground up while shaping its initial creative direction and leading early-stage content and production, before moving on to focus on other projects.
At the same time, I’ve continued working in the finance and real estate sector, which has shaped how I approach music. I don’t just see songs or videos—I see assets. I think about ownership, structure, scalability, and how each decision impacts long-term growth, including how music rights are managed, publishing is structured, distribution is executed, and royalties are collected.
I hold a degree in finance from Brigham Young University and a master’s degree in Music Industry from the University of Miami.
Today, I work at the intersection of creative direction, release strategy, and the business side of music—bringing clarity and direction to projects so they are built for audience impact through strong creative execution, strategic release planning, and properly structured rights, distribution, and royalty collection.
Are you ready for growth?
